Feedback For Orange County Resorts - Coorg

Finally here comes time to give a feedback on orange county resorts, coorg, india.

I was planning my holiday a month back that is from march for my anniversary, after googling and talking to near and dear I had two options 1. Orange County of Coorg and 2. Serai of Chikmangaloooru. After discussing with my friend regarding this we have enquired about the rates of both the resorts. As I am a maddoo i was finding the best rate for my holiday, budget plays important role in anytthiiinnggg .. And after almost 2-3 weeks of discussion I have decided for Orange County.. It shows how busy I am.. :P

Caution: As there are two sides of coins, there are many positive points in my feedback but let me start with the negatives as they are very few.

First i would start the booking part of my holiday which was from Orange County Resorts itself by Mr. XXXXX. I would not like to mention the name of the guy as its a negative feedback, but it should definitely touch his heart if he reads properly, because the number of X used above exactly fits his name. This is totally my personal experience, while booking the package I was told by many people that the marketing partners of the resort gives a good discount compared to the package I would get while directly booking from resort. But, after applying my knowledge I thought how can we get discounts going round way and why we cant get a good discount going directly, I finally ended calling up Mr.XXXXX of Orange County it self. In the talks, we cant compete with sales guys, ufff .. what a way of handling clients, smooth and softly spoken words.. u cant expect any devil of them and then on after talking to him for twice or thrice we finally agreed for some package (i forgot to say, I have also enquired about the package with the marketing people of orange county) which was well expensive then the package offered to me by the marketing partners. Its all because of the exaggerate (i would like to put in quotes "exaggerate" ) words spoken by Mr. XXXXX i have decided to go with the higher package. (Point to be noted here that the sales people of Orange County are used to exaggerate the things). When ever I spoke to him, he just used to say, U'll have a wonderful, memorable and unbelievable holiday as you have booked the package through "Orange County" directly, I'll be the one man point of contact for you. You can call me at any time as you wish, I'll be there at any point if you have any problem. (Please note this words, i'll recall all this later..) and many blah blah blah ... To be specific, he promised me some exclusive dining's (please note its plural) for the extra amount I paid and a special previlege over the resort. As it was my anniversary, I thought it would be a wonderful gift to my wife and booked through Mr. XXXXX. And the next comes the travelling partner of Orange County, as enquired Mr. XXXXX said there is no travel handled by them but they have outsourced travel agency to some other and they have five star travels, he said, their travels include luxury travel like chauffeur driven travel, with a well knowledgable driver as a guide.. Listening to this is amazing na and well back up if the car has some problem in between and again a blah blah blah.. It was enough for me to go ahead of booking the travel also with them, here comes the call of the manager Miss. XXXX of Mr. XXXXX, again the same good soft spoken miss after all she is the manager of sales executive boss. You can experience the negatives as you go on reading the next part of my positive feedback. In bold letters what my personal experience says, "Dont book directly from Orange County Resorts - instead go with the booking from marketing partners of Orange county)... Chalo the holiday is planned, venue is fixed, travellers are fixed ab aur kya chahiye .... And finally the holiday started .............................

So let me start very frankly, Me and my wife had a wonderful time in the orange county. Orange county as a resort is an awesome place to spend the holiday time, the staff, nature, climate, greenary, room ambience and the activities at the resort make it awesome, especially the staff and the beautiful smile on their face every time we come across and the "NAMASKARA" greeting is juz awesome. Forgottt .. the foooooooooddddd is just ammazzzing and the variety is awesome, the chefs, the guides, the bird watching, the plantation tour, the nature walk, the cultural programs organizeed ... each and every part when specified can be just mentioned as awesome and amazing.... The peace of mind we get at the stay of resort is just un-explainable, to be precise its above all. Let me tell you about the rooms or stay in the resort. They have around 4 categories of cottages, 1. County Cottage, 2. Presidential Villa, 3. Kings Court and 4. Private Pool Villa. All are well furnished and has a god ambience and the best of the best is Private Pool Villa. The staff over there is wonderfully trained especially I can name one Miss Deeksha (Executive), she was there for us for everything from the start to the end, what a courtesy. Anything which was asked was juz some seconds away. Next the room service over there was so wonderful, generally we see after calling people come and make up over room but here, they used to come 2 times a day asking us whether we would like to have room make up.. Only thing we can say over there is WoW for everything. Next comes the food, there are three restaurents over there 1. Granary - Buffet, 2. Plantain Leaf - Vegetarian (South Indian and North Indian) and 3. Pepper Corn (Veg and Non-Veg). All the three were just awesom in food and variety is what juz called awesome, and regarding ambience I found the Pepper Corn was the best compared to all the three but we cant diffrenciate because Plantain Leaf was totally based on South Indian so the ambience would be obviously the South Indian. Now I would like to tell a small incident regarding the Mr. XXXXX, It was my anniversary on the first day when I was there, so I was asked whether I would like to have dinner at Pepper Corn which had a common kitchen for both Veg and Non-Veg which was not preferred by us, here at Pepper Corn, it has a lake view deck dining which I came to know later on. So Mr.XXXXX has booked a lake view deck dining as complimentary, but when asked over there it can be booked separately by paying some extra amount which was far less then the extra amount paid. So the exaggerate words of Mr. XXXXX was dinings (plural) which i have specified earlier and there was no other special exclusive dinings over there. So for the new people who are going to make booking please dont get into the words of sales executives that they are going to provide exclusive dinings, there is nothing such, you can go and book there itself. Other then the deck dining even the normal ambience is also awesome. One more dining available over there is Tree dining which is very exclusive and wonderful, it can also be booked over there itself. The words said by Mr. XXXXX that you ll have wonderful, memorable and ..... are very true but there is no need to pay extra by booking through Orange County itself, because its all are true as I have stated earlier regarding the resort and resort staff makes it awesome. Regarding the chef I would like to state a small incident, the chef came to us and asked what would you like to have extra apart from the menu, so we just asked him to make something with corn, and explained the requirements of korn kernal and instantly we got our order served and it was amaazzzziiiiinnnnngggg yummmmmyyyyy... hats off to all the guys over there for making our holiday a memorable and unforgettable, I just can't forget the NAMASKARA greeting with a great smile by each and every staff member over there, very much inspiring and plasent.. Finally we derive with one conclusion that what ever we pay its worth paying. Now a bit of travels with Orange County which is out sourced, we got a wonderful driver at Bangaluru who was as said by Mr. XXXXX, but unfortunately because of his personal reasons he had left the second day and got his brother instead of him and he said he also has ample amount of knowledge regarding the sight seeing around and when asked at resort people over there said yeah its known to them that driver has been changed. But when we actually boarded from coorg to bangaluru with sightseeing of mysore, we were asking people which way leads to chamundi temple a famous of mysore and he almost took an hour for finding it. This was just pathetic and when I called Mr. XXXXX he didnt even lifted the call and later on (after reaching banglore) when I spoke to him he just said I was busy on other call, so here it was like after paying the amount the actual character comes out of the man............
